Built in the heart of Appalachia, the West Virginia Great Barrel lives up to its name. Crafted with white oak sustainably harvested within 200 miles of the cooperage, these barrels are as consistent as they are dependable. CNC-jointed staves, tongue-and-groove heads, and precision infrared toasting give distillers maximum stave contact and flavor control with minimal loss.
From head to hoop, every part of this barrel is built to perform. With your choice of toast and char levels (1–4+), the barrel can be customized to match your spirit profile, whether you're chasing sweet herb and vanilla candy or leaning into campfire and dark chocolate vibes.

LEAD TIME
These barrels are made to order and will ship directly from the manufacturer. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before your order is shipped.
FREIGHT
Fresh barrels will be shipped via a LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.
If you have other barrels in your cart, you will see multiple shipments in checkout. Your other barrels will ship out from our warehouse in 1-2 business days and these barrels will ship as soon as production is done directly from the manufacturer.
Barrels can be shipped up to 4 barrels per pallet and 8 barrels per skid (two pallets high).
Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
