Cathead Distillery Chicory Barrel - Fresh Dumped, Once Used

Claimed to be filled under a full moon, these full-size (53 gallons) Cathead Distillery Chicory Barrels put a whole new meaning on the word “specialty.”

What is chicory? It’s a caffeine-free plant that has a robust, bitter flavor similar to coffee. Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur gets its name from the Afro-Caribbean mysticism, which has elements and traditions that have major influences in Southern culture, including blues music.

After aging Cathead’s Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur for 5+ months, one thing’s for sure: no other barrels have this kind of flavor profile. The bottled product falls under the coffee liqueur category, so expect to pull notes of coffee, espresso, blackened walnut and charred chicory from the oak when barrel-aging your brew.

FREIGHT
Fresh barrels will be shipped via a LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.

Barrels can be shipped up to 4 barrels per pallet and 8 barrels per skid (two pallets high).

Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.

At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
