Heads up, barrel heads are designed with grooves that allow the staves to slide together and sometimes they may come apart during handling or shipping. This doesn’t mean they’re broken! Just slide the pieces back into place and you’re good to go.

Each authentic bourbon or whiskey barrel head we offer comes straight from a working barrel — no touch-ups, no polishing, just genuine character built from years of aging some of the finest spirits. You’ll see signs of its hardworking past, including natural dirt, scuffs, and sometimes markings or branding from the original distillery or cooperage. It's all part of the story these heads have to tell. The back (interior-facing side) will be charred black — just like it was when it helped age that smooth bourbon or bold whiskey.

- The photos show examples of both the front and back of a Willett Distillery barrel head. This listing is for one (1) barrel head — the photo includes two to display both sides.
- Some heads will feature distillery stampings or markings, while others may come clean. We can’t guarantee a specific distillery or markings with any individual purchase.
- Barrel heads are built with grooves that allow the staves to slide together, and during shipping or handling, they may shift or come apart. Don’t worry, they’re made to do that! Simply slide the pieces back together.
IMPORTANT
Because our barrels are authentic, expect char, rust and/or dust. We do not clean or alter our barrels in any way, and as such, these residues will often transfer from the products to the box and surroundings.
PARCEL
All barrel parts are shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground.
FREIGHT
Volume orders will be shipped via an LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.
Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
