At just 10 gallons, these small format oak barrels from Distillery 291 in Colorado are just the right size for barrel-aging a homebrewed beer or any other beverage that doesn’t need a standard, full-size used barrel.
These barrels were sent to our warehouse after they had aged Distillery 291’s Bad Guy Bourbon, a wheated four-grain bourbon made from corn, malted wheat, malted rye and a beech smoked barley mash. The bourbon whiskey is sweeter compared to Distillery 291’s standard bourbon with notes of apricot, cinnamon, clove, toffee and more.
That extra layer of sweetness will complement many beer, cider, mead and wine styles when aged in this small format barrel.
PARCEL
Orders for small barrels (generally 5 or less) are shipped via UPS or USPS.
FREIGHT
Volume orders (generally 6+ small barrels) will be shipped via an LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.
Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
