10 Gallon Distillery 291 Bourbon Barrel - Fresh Dumped, Once Used
Distillery 291 aged its Colorado Bourbon Whiskey in these 10 gallon barrels for less than two years before emptying them and sending them our way. They would work well for any homebrewers looking to try a barrel-aged beer for their next homebrewing project.
But these small barrels would play well with other beverages, too! The bourbon whiskey aged in these barrels left behind notes of vanilla, cherry and spice. Fill with beer, wine, cider or other beverage – even maple syrup, honey and other food products – to impart those flavors.
Important notes: Remember, these are used barrels, so expect small imperfections and cracks on the barrel. Each barrel has been inspected to ensure they are liquid tight. All barrels come with a wood bung. The previous bung and used oak spirals may also be inside the barrel. This will not affect aging quality. Not all barrels have a 291 engraving on the head.
PARCEL
Orders for small barrels (generally 5 or less) are shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground.
FREIGHT
Volume orders (generally 6+ small barrels) will be shipped via an LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.
Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
LOCAL PICKUP
Local pickup is available from our Louisville (Fairdale), Kentucky location.
