From Kentucky bourbon to California brandy, these freshly dumped barrels have seen it all and soaked it up. Originally 1792 Bourbon Barrels, they were refilled with Paul Masson Grape Brandy, aging for at least three years. Not only are they rich with classic bourbon notes of caramel and vanilla, but they’re kissed with standout flavors like pear, pralines, and hazelnut. Now they’re ready to pass that complex, double-aged character onto your next brew, spirit, or bold experiment.

These barrels have stories to tell, and they tell them in layers. First stop: Barton 1792 Distillery, where they cradled bold, award-winning Kentucky bourbon. Next chapter: They traveled west to California for a second life aging Paul Masson’s award-winning grape brandy. With a minimum three-year nap in these American oak barrels, that brandy imparted a whole new spectrum of flavors, including smooth vanilla, golden toffee, spicy oak, and nutty undertones, with hints of pear.

Paul Masson isn’t just any brandy brand. With a winemaking legacy dating back to the late 1800s and a reputation for crafting smooth, European-inspired brandy blends, it’s one of the biggest names in the game. These barrels may have held either their VS (Very Special) or VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), but either way, you’re getting a spirit-soaked profile that’s rich, warm, and endlessly nuanced.

Now freshly emptied and ready for round three, these barrels are ideal for aging beer, cider, or spirits, especially if you're after a sweet and spicy profile with roots in both bourbon and brandy heritage.
