30 Gallon Middle West Bourbon Barrel - Fresh Dumped, Once Used

Straight out of Columbus, Ohio, Middle West Spirits does things a little differently, and their four grain bourbon proves it. These freshly dumped barrels held a cask strength bourbon built on a mash of non-GMO corn, winter wheat, two-row barley, and dark pumpernickel rye. That last one’s the secret sauce, bringing soft spice and deep complexity to a blend that’s already rich with caramel, oak, cinnamon, and vanilla. You’ll find notes of smoked butterscotch, leather, molasses, and seasoned oak soaked deep into the wood. The 30-gallon format speeds things up while still giving your beer, cider, or spirit a complex base to build on. When you're working with pumpernickel rye and wheat in one barrel, you're not playing it safe, you're playing for flavor.

Important Notes

• These barrels previously held cask strength bourbon and will have higher residual spirit
• Due to the 30-gallon size, these barrels offer faster extraction and stronger flavor transfer compared to standard 53-gallon barrels

FREIGHT

Fresh barrels will be shipped via a LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents.

Barrels can be shipped up to 4 barrels per pallet and 8 barrels per skid (two pallets high).

Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering.

At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
