Sale price$84.99

Sweet and smooth, these 1792 Corn Whiskey barrels offer a unique double-layered aging history. These barrels were first seasoned by aging award-winning 1792 high-rye bourbon. They were then filled with corn whiskey before being dumped and sent directly to our warehouse. These barrels offer light caramel, vanilla, and buttery corn sweetness. A great choice for brewers and distillers chasing a softer, smoother influence with a corn-forward twist.

These barrels have lived a full and flavorful life. They began aging 1792 Bourbon, a respected Kentucky Straight Bourbon known for its high-rye mash bill and bold spice, spending 7 to 10 years soaking the oak with classic bourbon notes of caramel, vanilla, and baking spice. After the bourbon was dumped, the barrels were refilled with corn whiskey. That lighter, sweeter spirit leaned heavily into corn’s natural character, adding soft buttery notes and mellow sweetness without overwhelming the oak. These barrels strike a balance between well-seasoned bourbon depth and approachable corn whiskey sweetness. Ideal for beer, cider, wine, or experimental spirit aging where smooth, rounded flavor is the goal.

Important Notes

  • Trace amounts of Rye and Malted Barley from bourbon distillation fractions
  • Barrels originally aged 1792 Bourbon for approximately 7-10 years
  • Barrels were subsequently filled with corn whiskey for an undisclosed period
  • Expect lighter oak impact with pronounced caramel and buttery corn character
