Midwest Barrel Co. Moves Across Louisville into Largest Facility Yet

LOUISVILLE, KY. – Continued growth has led Midwest Barrel Company to a new, larger home.
Just two years after relocating from Nebraska to Kentucky to be closer to bourbon country, MWBC has already outgrown its first Bluegrass State warehouse and moved operations to a significantly larger, better-equipped facility in East Louisville.
Located at 12415 Old Lagrange Rd, the new warehouse facility boasts 72,000 sq. feet of space, a major upgrade from the previous 42,000 sq. foot facility on Glengarry Drive. With 10 total trailer loading docks (up from just 3), and nearly 10 extra trailer parking spots, the new facility supports greater movement and efficiency, giving MWBC the flexibility needed to keep up with growing demand across both domestic and international markets.
The building previously housed operations for the online retail giant Zappos. Now, it’s home to thousands of barrels. The facility was designed with efficiency in mind, featuring an optimized workflow layout that improves fulfillment speed and operations. It also includes a dedicated pickup area that makes it easier for local customers to stop by and pick up their barrel goods in person. These improvements translate directly to better service: faster fulfillment, smoother pickups, and more Damn. Good. Barrels.™ ready to roll when customers need them.
The decision to relocate was driven by long-term growth, following three consecutive years of recognition on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America. The Old Lagrange Rd location offers easier location access, more room to expand, and infrastructure that’s far better suited for MWBC’s evolving operations. Simply put, it’s a space that matches the scale and pace of the company’s momentum.
