Midwest Barrel Co. has partnered with a USA-based cooperage to fulfill custom orders for Brand New Never Used 53 Gallon Whiskey Barrels.

The barrels are made from American white oak staves that have been sourced from quality-minded stave mills. The wood sourced for the barrels has levels of tyloses to help them remain leak-free.

While outside, the wood is allowed to age long enough to rid it of bitterness while still maintaining its natural sugars. The wood is seasoned for 3 months and then kiln-dried to bring them to the proper moisture content level.

Once the staves are formed into barrels, the cooperage toasts or chars the barrels to the customers’ exact specifications ranging from light char #1 to heavy char #4.

Note: All new barrels are made to order. Lead time is 2-3 weeks on average. Midwest Barrel Co. is currently able to take orders for up to 100-150 barrels per month.

FREIGHT

Fresh barrels will be shipped via a LTL motor freight provider. To ensure safety and freshness of your barrels, they are wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet with a label identifying the pallet contents. 

Barrels can be shipped up to 4 barrels per pallet and 8 barrels per skid (two pallets high). 

Shipment transit times vary depending on location, weather and carrier capacity. For specific delivery dates, expedited shipping, preferred shipping carrier or unique delivery requests contact us directly to arrange your shipment prior to ordering. 

At checkout you will be asked to confirm your delivery location type. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, a liftgate will be required. Offloads by hand are not available.
